EUGENE SHAPIRO holds Master's Degree in Jazz Studies from University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and currently teaches guitar at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). He also has been performing music for more than 15 years. EUGENE is a member of ASCAP and is endorsed by the Thomastik-Infeld strings company, and by Martin Guitars. He has received several awards from Nevada Arts Council, including Nevada Artist Fellowship, ASCAP and Billboard Songwriting Contest.

EUGENE SHAPIRO has released 2 CD's with his own compositions recorded by his band the Shapiro Project on Las Vegas Record Label TNC Music Recordings, and also on his own label, Shapiro Project Records (C&P) . The Shapiro Project has participated in such renown Festivals as Spirit of Music Festival in San Francisco, California, Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho, International Association of Jazz Educators ( IAJE ) in Los Angeles, California and Fremont Street Jazz Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In Las Vegas EUGENE SHAPIRO and the Shapiro Project have played all major Hotels and Casinos such as Venetian Hotel and Casino, Paris Hotel Casino, Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Mirage Hotel and Casino, Mandalay Bay, and MGM Grand.
